Going through a rough break up at the moment. Only means I’ll be stronger in the longer run. I have been listening to a bunch of classic rock etc with lyrics about love getting fucked up. I’ve never really appreciated it until now. You will too once you end up going through the same thing. We all do.
Warren Zevon has some words to live by. Bet ya only knew of “Werewolves of London.” Bad ass too. Both are live versions. RIP Zevon. I’ll be smoking blunts with you and Johnny C. soon enough.
The 80’s will rise again!
I have been seeing a lot of remixes by Swedish producer Linus Eklow, aka. Style of Eye, in the blogosphere lately. Which normally would be great thing. However, I have been disappointed by the quality of them. So far, my favorite track by Style of Eye continues to be “Last Song” from the Duck Cover and Hold album released on Ultra. Enjoy
Orbital Myspace
Orbital has been around ages. K only a couple of decades, but I am sure some of their select tunes will be timeless. “Halcyon + On + On” is one of the first electronic tracks I listened to as a kid. I remember hearing it while watching the movie Hackers. I am not sure that movie will stand the test of time, but I promise the track will.
Another great track of Orbital’s I recommend is “Belfast.”
There is even a track Pitchfork acknowledges. “Chime” was listed in their Pitchfork 500 list.

The Berlin based duo started in the vivid club scene of Germanys new capital and consists of Tommi Eckart and Inga Humpe. I never knew about them until I heard this amazing remix by Solomun Vox that was on John Digweed’s Beatport chart. I couldn’t find this track anywhere for awhile. I don’t know why because it is great stuff. Love the vocals. One of my favorite tracks of the Summer. Enjoy

Great Aphex Twin track set to some cool, gruesome in a way, video clips.
London based producer Fake Blood has been one of my favorite remixers of the past year. He has done some ice cold remixes of Underworld, UNKLE, and the Count and Sinden. All worth your two bucks. Player Player mashed the original electro house track with Mobb Deep’s “Got it Twisted” forming the playful party track “Player Player’s 95 Jump Mix.” Download it below. Peace & Beats
On an interesting side note, you may have noticed, that on Fake Blood’s remixes their will normally be a voice saying “Fake Blood.” Some believe that he says it or has the artist he is remixing to add them in for him. But, that isn’t how he actually does it. “In every remix I have done, the words “Fake Blood” are created by me chopping up the ORIGINAL acapella, and assembling the words with individual vowel and consonant sounds…No new vocals are used, only the same one heard in the original song.”
